Before Your Surgery

You must be asking yourself, “what do I need to do before my surgery?” Here are a few things to remember:

  • First, you must read our Before Surgery Guide (contains a list of required documents and frequently asked questions).
  • Secondly, pre-register yourself for your surgery.

By pre-registering online, you can avoid filling out a lot of paperwork on the day of your surgery. This will also help us get you ready for the operating room within only a few minutes.

Our online pre-registration form is designed to be easy, quick and can be accessed anytime and from anywhere.

The Day of Your Surgery

When you check in at our front desk, we ask you to verify personal, insurance and escort information. Afterwards, we take you to the pre-op area where one of our team members will:

  • Provide you with an ID bracelet and hospital clothing.
  • Explain what to expect in the surgery room.

To see the checklist for the day of surgery and to get answers to frequently asked questions, please read our Day of Surgery Guide.

It will help you feel less nervous and more confident on the day of your surgery.

After Your Surgery

After surgery, you will be escorted to the Recovery Room (a.k.a. Post Anesthesia Care Unit), where our anesthesiologist and nurses will monitor your health conditions closely. Once you’re medically stable, you’ll be transferred to another room where your friends and family can meet you.

We assist you in achieving a quick and safe recovery by providing:

  • Verbal and written post-surgical instructions to you and your family.
  • Information on when to call or visit for a follow-up.
  • Answers to your questions and emergency help.

For more information, please read our After Surgery Guide.
